After our mate Rex who we met in Mirrool suggested we visit the Pilliga Hot Bore Baths, we had to do a little detour and check them out! Don’t except much, its not your fancy Day Spa, but more like a huge dusty red paddock with a 37◦ pool.. and it was AMAZING! Just what we needed after our big walk the day before and after a few very cold nights. After we set up camp we spent over an hour soaking in the pool. You basically just drive in and find a spot. Its off the highway so fairly quite. Sites aren’t marked therefore you can use up as much of the space as you like. We lit a nice fire and toasted marshmallow’s & list sparklers with another travelling family. It was so nice to see the girls getting out of their comfort zones and making friends so quickly.
Now.. generally I’m not a morning person!! Especially when the mornings have been so cold. I must admit I am a bit of a night owl, I prefer to stay up later and sleep in late. But this past week I have been waking up as the sun comes up and seeing some stunning sunrises. Pilliga definitely turned on a beautiful sunrise and we all got up early and headed back into the hot springs before moving onto Bingara.
